How to Study for Exams

1.   Review class notes daily and rehearse as you read

2.   Use self-testing to prepare for exams

           a.  Write out the questions

           b.  Work with a study partner

           c.  Practice math problems

           d.  Use flash cards

           e.  Talk to yourself

           f.   Use tape recorder

3.   Create learning lists

           a.  Categorize material.  Study each at a different time. 

           b.  Consider the first and last effect and mix the items as you study.
            (Remember: First and last items are most often remembered.)

           c.  Consider the power of organization.  Group items into logical categories.

           d.  Use personal associations

           e.  Use memorization devices
