History Major
Apply for admission to the History Major
Forms will be available to pick up in the hall outside the History Department, 431 Major Williams Hall, beginning Thursday, September 10.
- Complete ALL SECTIONS of this Application form
- Complete the top section of "Change of Major/Minor Form – College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences" and sign the form at the bottom.
- Print out and attach a copy of your unofficial transcript (available via Hokie SPA)
- Return all forms and transcript copy to the Department of History by 4 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2010.
The History Department will review applications and notify you about admission no later than Monday, October 12.
Transfers into the History major
Effective immediately, the History Department will only accept transfers into the History major during a one-week period each semester. The dates for the Fall 09 semester are September 20 - 24, 2010. This is the only time we will sign change of major forms for those students desiring to enter History. The dates for the Spring 2010 semester are February 15-19, 2010.
