SHCY
Executive Committee Invites Nominations for
Graduate Student Representative
The
SHCY is seeking to add a graduate student representative to the
organization's Executive Committee.
We
would like to encourage graduate student members of the Society
for the History of Children and Youth to nominate themselves (or
someone they know) to be the graduate student member of the Executive
Committee. Similarly other members of the Society are also encouraged
to nominate graduate students for the Executive Committee.
Nominations
should be sent to the the SHCY president, Joe Hawes at jhawes@memphis.edu
In
forwarding a nomination please include the following: Institution
and major professor, area(s) of scholarly interest, current status
(as ABD, or doctoral or master's level), reasons for interest
in serving on the Executive Committee, and any additional information
that might help the committee with its selection.
Please
note that the Executive Committee conducts its business by email
and at the biennial meetings of the Society; membership does not
require any travel or extra expense beyond what is required for
attendance at biennial meetings.
This
appointment will be for two years.
