WEBPAGE EVALUATION

WebPage Name:

You will evaluate the pages on two levels: 1) CONTENT (this category is MOST important); and 2)PRESENTATION.

Evaluate the Content of the Pages:

What theme(s), or major idea(s), did the group make about the alternative medical system? What was the most important thing you learned from the pages?

Did the page provide both history and current status of the alternative medicine? Evaluate the merits of each component.

How well did the unit conform to the overall project guidelines? did the website provide, "assigned readings, images, links, and an annotated bibliography?" If not, what was missing?

Evaluate the assigned readings: how successfully did the documents illustrate important ideas about the alternative system?

Evaluate the images: How were they integrated into the subject of the pages. How well did they illustrate the major ideas of the unit?

Evaluate the text written by the group. How clear were the descriptions and discussions? How often did you find grammar or spelling errors?

Evaluate the links: did the links (to sites NOT written by the group) provide significant information to supplement the group's work? How many links did you investigate (and how thoroughly)? Were the links adequately annotated in the group's pages? (Did you understand why the group thought each link was worth checking? and what each link was supposed to contribute to your understanding of the alternative medical system?)

Evaluate the annotated bibliography. Did you get a clear sense of the sources used by the group to construct the pages and the presentation?

What suggestions would you make to the group for changing the "content" of the pages?

Evaluate the design of the pages:
How well (or poorly) did the first page introduce you to the subject of the website?

How well (or with how much difficulty) were you able to navigate through the pages? Did the group provide adequate signposts?

Were the pages easy to read? And pleasing to look at? Be specific, particularly if you found one page hard to read, but others quite easy.

Was there anything in particular about the pages that you found especially attractive, or unattractive?

Did the links you tried lead where they were supposed to lead? If not, what links did you find faulty?

Did all the images load? If not, what failed?

What suggestions would you make to the group for changing the "look" of the pages?

What is your overall assessment of the group's webpages?

Please assign a letter grade for the webpage______
